At last.
THEY HAVE ARRIVED!
I am a fairly new gLeek as I mentioned in one of my previous posts. But even I felt (and heard) that resounding sigh of relief from gLeeks all over the world last April 14. Facebook and Twitter was abuzz with anticipation and wondering cyberloudly how to sneak out from work to watch the telecast at 4PM.
One had to wonder what people were doing during that trying time of waiting:
- In Pasay, a man roamed Mall of Asia waiting for a restaurant that had cable to watch gLee
- After a few hours, he posted “I am near to buying the only restaurant here that has cable!!!”
- GLEE!!! – facebook users from my account alone.
- On real time in fb and Twitterverse – Idina Menzel! Hot Hot Hot!
People seemed to have lost parts of their vocabulary on that fateful day.
But now the long wait is over, and a new season of synchronized singing and dancing begins!
So far it was worth it. It was a risky move to keep people waiting. With new shows sprouting right and left and blockbuster movies commanding an instant following (vampires for one), gLee was still worth the wait and attention (and enduring reruns that we already know by heart). Clearly the cast and crew of the hit show made sure to deliver a whole new season to get hooked on.
After just the first half of the season we saw Will find out about Teri’s phantom baby.
(On a side note though, HOW HOT IS WILL?! If male teachers all looked (and moved!) liked that, the educational system would be so much better!)
Doe-eyed guidance counselor Emma was still fighting unrequited love; Rachel was her same OC self beating the path to stardom; Finn discovered that he’s not the father of Quinn’s baby but Puck’s (honestly, I don’t think Quinn would’ve made it bad either way, hehe); Mercedes helped Kurt come to terms with his true self, and Artie opened up to Tina only to find out about her lies.
Oh how can anyone forget about Sue? A regal bitch that we all love to hate but still love! At the time of this writing, people are probably hooked on watching her Madonna video. Her plan to sabotage the gLee club during sectionals failed, but nevertheless ingenious like her.
More stars are on the line-up to make the hit show even more entertaining. Aside from Idina Menzel, the show will have (OMGeee, this is the best part yet) Neil Patrick Harris! Neil Patrick Harris! Neil Patrick Harris! Yes! I intentionally typed his name three times exclamation points included!!! Molly Shannon (Kath and Kim) and Kristin Chenowith (Pushing Daisies) the last nine episodes look to be just as jam-packed with drama, comedy and musical numbers! Included in the back nine is the much awaited Madonna episode which features songs such as “Like A Virgin” and “Vogue”, as well as the first time viewers will see Sue singing and dancing.
Other artists lining up to offer their services include Lady Gaga and Justin Timberlake. Glee surely is a musical juggernaut that goes from strength to strength with a musical repertoire that continues to grow.

***Where was I when the new episodes premiered? I frantically finished all my business matters early that day because the lovely people of Solar Entertainment invited me to watch the premier at Red Box Greenbelt. Thanks guys.
**** (I will do this in every post ok? and can be unrelated to what I posted) With romcoms aplenty, you’d think men would already know how to treat a lady. So men, when in doubt, watch “Gone with the Wind”, just remember to update your wardrobe.
